***I don't find them to be rude in any such way, most of them if you take two seconds to talk to them, are very nice sweet people. They're just frustrated. Wouldn't you be if that was the career you were pursuing?***

Well, no. Why should they or any other lunch lady feel frustrated because they've chosen a job rather than a career? I know you were being sarcastic, but I'm sure that attitude is one that many TCNJ students, their parents, etc. have. "Dear God, Bipsy, there are people who are satisfied with working in a cafeteria?"

My boyfriend's father is a garbageman, and he's received plenty of flak for it. Yet, he probably earns more money and has better benefits than the people who look down on him. Of course, that leads to the inevitable, "Why should HE make more than I, a PhD in Medieval Sports?"

He's happy with what he does, and I'm sure there are lunch ladies who enjoy what they do and prefer it to slaving away in a back-stabbing corporate environment.

Perhaps their frustration stems from people assuming they should be frustrated.
