I was really surprised that the newspaper that wanted to work out the problems it faced with favoring certain stories because of the race of the people involved. When I read at the end that the newspaper staff fell apart because many decided to leave because many friendships were lost and the dissapionted was to great. I believed that the newspaper would have stayed together and won the award. I did not believe that the issue in concentratind on "white" new was so real or big, I mean staff left even after the newspaper might an attempt to correct the situation. I was shocked.
