I think racism has lost part of its meaning. It originally meant "racial discrimination or persecution." (so says Webster's dictionary definition.) But now, its almost like you can be racist against things that arent even races, such as Jen's example about the punk rocker "racism." What exactly is a race? Jewish people are referred to being Jewish as their race, when in fact, Jewish is a religion. What is race then? Is it skin color? Cultural background? Religious affiliation? Lifestyle? How do we define this term race? Anyone care to respond, because it confuses the hell out of me.

And I have to vent here, but you know what really pisses me off? Is when people talk about "reverse racism," in cases about a minority having prejudice towards the majority. I have heard it so much and it makes me absolutely sick. I mean, what the hell is reverse racism? If one race has something against another, that is flat out RACISM, not this reverse racism crap.

Has anyone else ever heard of reverse racism? If so, what do you think about it?
