CALL FOR STUDENT PAPERS, CONFERENCE ABSTRACTS, AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC CITATIONS: TCNJ JOURNAL OF STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The TCNJ Journal of Student Scholarship was first published in 1998 to provide a forum for outstanding examples of research fostered by the collaboration of TCNJ students and faculty. The fourth volume of the Journal, scheduled to be published during the 2001-2002 academic year, will continue that tradition.

This is an open invitation to all students to submit, and to all faculty members to encourage students to submit, copies of PAPERS OF EXCEPTIONAL MERIT for possible publication in the 2001-2002 edition of the Journal of Student Scholarship. The Journal welcomes submissions from students in ALL academic disciplines. PAPERS should be no more than twenty typewritten, double-spaced pages in length, excluding abstract and notes. There is no minimum length. Students will be informed in a timely manner whether their papers have been selected for publication and, if selected, what kind of revisions may be required before publication.

In addition, students who, individually or in collaboration with a faculty member, have presented (or had accepted for presentation) work at a regional, national, or international conference after September 1, 2000, are encouraged to submit CONFERENCE ABSTRACTS for recognition in the Journal. The ABSTRACT should be no more than 300 words long, and that wording, which must include the name, date, and location of the professional meeting at which the work was presented, must be exactly the same as that of the abstract submitted to the sponsoring organization. Students, who, individually or in collaboration with a faculty member, have had work published (or accepted for publication) after September 1, 2000, are encouraged to submit a BIBLIOGRAPHIC CITATION of their work for inclusion in a special section of the Journal.

The deadline for all submissions is Friday, February 16, 2001. All students should provide a college address including e-mail address and phone number. The complete list of style and format requirements for publication is available in hard copy from the Office of Academic Affairs and on our website at: http://sjournal.intrasun.tcnj.edu.

Please send papers, abstracts, and bibliographical citations to David Venturo, Editor, TCNJ Journal of Student Scholarship, at the Department of English, Bliss Hall, TCNJ. If you have questions, please contact Prof. Venturo at his office extension, 2155, or by e-mail at: <dventuro@tcnj.edu>.
