I dont know if any of you are familiar with the case of the man who stomped his girlfriend's puppy to death. It's in all the local papers around here. Well, I heard about this a few days ago when it happened, and there was no picture of the guy in paper, but I had this picture of him in my head as this white, Jeffrey Dahmer looking kind of guy. And I picked up the paper today, and there was a picture of him, and it turns out that he is black. It just struck me as strange because I pictured him being white.
Oh well, I thought it went with the topic of race and the media. I think people have a tendency to associate certain crimes with certain races. I know that I am guilty of it at times. Is anyone else?
