Hi!! I am a junior journalism major and am working on a biology minor. Science writing is mostly what I'm interested in, but I know that at some point I may have to write basic news stories. I'm actually curious as to what this class will offer. I live on a horse farm in Cookstown, NJ (next to McGuire AFB, 10 mins south of Six Flags). Luckily, I had never been forced to deal with discrimination problems before coming to this campus. In a way, I feel that that limits my ability to relate to others with regards to certain issues. I went to high school in Bordentown, NJ. I believe that the demographics were similar to that of TCNJ, but there were never any real problems. From this class I hope to have a better understanding of why these incidences occur, even in newsrooms.
