I'm a sophomore journalism major from West Orange (north NJ not too far from Newark/the Oranges). I took 5 different journalism courses in high school and have obviously continued in college. I've encountered several controversial biases within the journalism programs at my high school which definitely do exist widely throughout the world. I think I keep an open mind about things and hope to learn a little more about the biases within the media world this semester.
