With the exception of the first class, read assigned materials before each session.
Unless otherwise specified, class assignments will be submitted to me in electronic form for uploading to the class project web pages.  We will discuss this process on the first day of class.
No make-ups or extensions without a doctor's note.
If you do not understand an assignment, or have difficulty with any of material, do not wait until the last minute to talk to me.
All articles for unbound must be submitted with fact-checking.  You will not receive a final grade on articles submitted without fact checking.
Under some circumstances, I will allow you to use research done for another class to complete assignments in my classes. Please note, however, that TCNJ's academic integrity policy requires that students obtain the permission of both instructors before submitting the same work in more than one class.  The academic integrity policy is in your student handbook. I expect you to familiarize yourself with it.
Students who require accommodation for a disability should consult the Office of Differing Abilities, Community Commons 159, x 2571.
There are times when perfectly responsible people have to miss class. I understand completely, and I appreciate it when students let me know that they will have to miss a session.  However, class attendance and participation is critical to everyone's learning. Please make every effort to come to class and arrive on time.

If you must miss class, please do not subject me (or your other professors to any of the following questions or statements. We don't want to be forced to make equally rude replies.
"I might miss class tomorrow.  Are we going to do anything important?"
"Sorry I didn't hand your assignment in. I had a really important paper to do for another class."
"I couldn't make it to class. Can you go over what we did?"
