Video Interview

As a group, we interviewed Professor Kim Pearson and Dr. Gloria Dickinson for our project on November 20, 2003 in Bliss Hall at TCNJ.
The interview was recorded with a digital camera and digitized/edited/compressed by Julia White to a QuickTime movie. Currently we are looking for space to host this video on the web.

  • What brought you here originally?
  • Give a brief description of how you came to your current position since then.
  • How was the African-American Studies department brought onto the campus? Was there any difficulty or resistance? If so, how was it dealt with?

  • How did the department change the campus? Was it a noticeable difference?
  • In regards to the courses offered, is there a variation between the current department and back then? Are there more or less courses? Why?
  • How has the overall Student Life and Attitude changed from when the courses were first brought to TCNJ?

  • What was his impact on TCNJ?
